President Ilham Aliyev and family members participate in a tree-planting campaign dedicated to the birthday of national leader Heydar Aliyev

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and family members participated in a tree-planting campaign dedicated to the birthday of national leader Heydar Aliyev in a greenery area along the Gala-Turkan highway, May 10.

The Head of the State and the First Lady first familiarized themselves with a stand reflecting the works carried out towards improving the ecological condition in Azerbaijan further.

President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and family members planted trees in the area.

The President and the First Lady were photographed with participants of the tree-planting campaign.

On May 10, some 9 thousand trees of agrarian significance and other types of trees were planted along the Gala-Turkan highway.
