First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva pays a visit to the Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Autism in Baku

First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva visited the Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Autism, operating under the “United and Healthy” Public Union in Narimanov district of Baku. Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Autism has been functioning with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva met with children and became familiarized with their living conditions, as well as social and rehabilitation-oriented services provided.

According to chairperson of the public union Aytan Eynalova, properly trained specialists are engaged in taking care of children here.

“United and Healthy” Public Union is a non-government organization working, in Azerbaijan, with children with autism, and their families. Having been in operation since 2013, the organization’s objective is training children facing autism-spectrum disturbances to intercourse with people, learn life skills, and to work with their families in order to prepare them for an independent life, implementing enlightening projects, domestically and on an international level.

It was mentioned that some 70 children are currently benefiting here from intensive therapy.

Alisahib Bayramov, a graduate of the Centre, currently a second-year student of the Azerbaijan Culture and Art University, showed his skills too.

Children presented their handicrafts to the First Vice-president.
