Turetski Choir- 10 voices astonishing the world –performs at the Heydar Aliyev Centre

On October 10, Russia’s famous Turetski Choir appeared on stage at the Heydar Aliyev Centre.

First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva was among the spectators of the full-house concert.

At the concert, the art group presented their best compositions in their repertoire.

Comprised of performers with rare voices, wide vocal possibilities, acting techniques and unusual charisma, the Turetski Choir made their debut in 1990. People’s Artist of Russia Mikhail Turetski is the founder and artistic director of the group. The group’s repertoire is boundless. They have been performing in various genres, including classical music, rock, pop, opera, jazz, and folk songs.

The repertoire of the Turetski Choir includes compositions in over ten languages. Some call this group a popularity record-holder, as they have appeared on stage over 6 thousand times, having overcome about 4.5 million kilometres while on tournaments.

Performing hit songs in different languages, Turetski Choir had a surprize for the Azerbaijani audience. The group performed the famous song “Azerbaijan” by Muslim Magomayev in the Azerbaijani language.

After the concert, Mehriban Aliyeva met with the members of the Turetski Choir, and was photographed with them.
