First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva meets spouses of diplomatic mission heads

On March 20, the day of Novruz Holiday, First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva met spouses of heads of diplomatic missions in Baku.

Mehriban Aliyeva addressed the meeting.

Spouse of the Palestine State’s ambassador Mrs Rohayu Binti Kutep, speaking on behalf of the spouses of the heads of diplomatic missions in Baku, said she had been greatly honoured to have a chance to congratulate Mehriban Aliyeva on Novruz Holiday. Having highly appreciated Mehriban Aliyeva’s initiative to meet the spouses of heads of diplomatic missions, she underscored that Novruz Holiday called people to peace and solidarity. She noted that this holiday advocates supporting those in need of help, embodying friendship.

Sharing her views on Azerbaijan, the spouse of the State of Palestine’s ambassador noted that our country was a young state, saying that Azerbaijan is a country looking ahead to future, yet preserving its thousands-year old history, rich heritage and culture. Rohayu Binti Kutep emphasized that representatives of different religions and nationalities are living in Azerbaijan in the environment of peace, highly appreciating the tolerance dominating in this country. The spouse of the Palestine State’s ambassador wished peace and development to the people of Azerbaijan, once more delivering her congratulations on Novruz Holiday.

At the end, Mehriban Aliyeva once more touched upon cooperation, including relations in the humanitarian area.
