Integration Training Boarding School No.11 in Bilgah settlement is commissioned after reconstruction

Extensive improvement and greenery planting works have been carried out in the school’s front yard, in the framework of the reconstruction works. Sports grounds, various amusement facilities, swings have been installed in the yard for children, and entertainment-recreation corners created to arrange meaningful rest of children.
A stand comprised of photos reflecting the care and attention shown by national leader Heydar Aliyev, President Ilham Aliyev and the country’s First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva has been created in the building’s foyer. Here is also a photo-stand called “Gallant Azerbaijani Army”.
This school has been operating since 1961. At the moment, 945 pupils are educated at this school, and 158 out of them are involved in special education. For the school year 2016-2017, pupils at the schools have been grouped on 59 classes. Out of them, 38 are general education classes, 21 special classes. Education in general education classes are conducted in Azerbaijani and Russian languages. 133 pupils are accommodated in the establishment’s dormitory. Pupils with restricted health condition who study in special classes are issued a certificate after they finish the ten-year education term.
Azerbaijan’s First Vice-president visited the animation studio of the school. Here children are taught rules of how pictures move, how to write a screenplay, how to trim, as well as film cutting and other secrets of animation. It was informed that it is expected that children’s work created here will be introduced on an international level and their participation in contests will be arranged.

In addition to education programmes, pupils master professions of sewing, decoration, carpet-weaving and pottery at the workshops of the school. Pupils also engage in “Skilful hands” and painting circles at the school. There is also a fine arts laboratory functioning at the boarding school. Moreover, 114 children from families with difficult living conditions have been attracted to the centre for a full day. A staff comprised of 139 teachers and educators are engaged in the education of children.

Following the initiative of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, the dormitory and education building of the school was basically repaired in 2005, and provided with up-to-date equipment. The president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation participated, in the same year, in the inauguration of the school and in the wedding ceremony arranged for orphan-couples Nargiz and Vugar, and Ceyran and Farhad, which took place in the school. In 2013, Vice-president of the Foundation Leyla Aliyeva paid a visit to the boarding school. General education classes were opened since the school year 2004/2005 under the boarding school and, along with children with restricted health condition, children from families with difficult living conditions and those included in the risk group were attracted to education. Currently, 787 pupils are studying in general-education classes at this establishment. The boarding school has been participating in projects implemented by the Education Ministry. One “Healthy education class” has been created in the school year 2016-2017, in the framework of the project “Healthy education – healthy nation”.
The education building of the boarding school has been repaired on a contemporary level in the framework of the basic reconstruction works. Here has been erected a bust of the National Leader, and laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology placed at pupils’ disposal. The library, class- and computer rooms, as well as a sports hall in the building have been rebuilt to meet contemporary requirements.
