President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva familiarize themselves with the construction works performed at Ali Isazadeh street in Bina settlement

On December 26, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva familiarized themselves with the reconstruction works at Ali Isazadeh Street in Bina settlement, Baku city.

Known among the population as the road leading to “Dairy Farm”, this street’s traffic section had become useless due to not being repaired for a long time. The 4.5 km-long street’s being narrow caused significant hardships for transport facilities’ movement in autumn-winter seasons in particular.

Within the framework of Ali Isazadeh Street’s reconstruction project, the road bed has been widened up to 20-22 metres. Pavements have been built along the road to ensure easy and safe movement of pedestrians. Up-to-date illumination system has been built along the road to ensure easy movement during dark hours. Moreover, new rain water-sewage systems has been built at some places, within the framework of the project, to redirect surface waters from the traffic section of the road. As a result of the reconstruction works, the utility lines have been displaced away from the road, useless earth on the road bed has been removed, where necessary, carbonate material placed instead, compacted, and works on laying a new layer of asphalt performed. 17 road signs have been installed along the street, and road lines painted.

Having been reconstructed, this street will ensure easy movement towards Bina, Mardakan, Bilgah, Gala and Pirallahy settlements and to the city centre, by using the existing road network at Heydar Aliyev Avenue- Airport – Mardakan motorway.
