Mehriban Aliyeva acquaints herself with the conditions created at the Republican Child Sanatorium

Inauguration of the Republican Child Sanatorium of the Health Ministry in Buzovna settlement took place after reconstruction, December 29.

Azerbaijan’s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and her daughter Arzu Aliyeva attended the inauguration ceremony.

Reconstruction works at the sanatorium being in operation since 1986 had started in June 2012.  Total area of the six storied building is 8 thousand square metres.  Electrocardiography, physical therapy, education and training, psychologist’s room,  game rooms and wards in the sanatorium have been provided with up-to-date medical equipment. All conditions have been created in the building in order that the 182-person medical staff could provide high-level service to children.  Children aged 4 to 14 with somatic disease will be treated  at this healthcare institution. Children from all over the regions of the republic are admitted to the sanatorium. A ward has been also provided for mothers of children in need of special care.  A physical therapy and recreation section, healing sports and 100-seat assembly halls, and four rooms with therapy tanks have been created in the building.
