President Ilham Aliyev and Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva attended the ceremony being held in Baku in connection with May 9, the day of victory

A ceremony on the occasion of the 68^th anniversary of the victory over the fascism in the World War II took place in Baku, May 9.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva attended the ceremony.

The President and his spouse met with war veterans. The Head of the State decorated chairman of the Republican Council of Veterans Alovsat Bakhyshov with “Shohrat” (Glory) Order, delivered his congratulations to each of the veterans on the Victory Day, inquired about their problems and concerns.

The Head of the State and his spouse met with family members of twice Hero of the Soviet Union Hazi Aslanov and congratulated them on the Victory Day.
