Visit to China

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan İlham Aliyev, at the invitation of Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping,  was on a business trip to this country, August 30. 

At the Binhai International Airport  of the city of Tianjin, the Head of the Sate and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva were welcomed by Minister of Industry and Information Technologies of the People’s Republic of China Li Lecheng, and other officials.  

A dinner-party in honour of the heads of states and governments and their spouses 

On August 31, a dinner -party was hosted, on behalf of Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping and First Lady Pen Liyuan, in honour of heads of states and governments, and their spouses, and concert programme was presented. 

Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping and First Lady Pen Liyuan welcomed President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva. 

Then, heads of states and governments and their spouses were photographed. 

A river cruise together with spouses of the heads of states and governments who joined  the meeting in “SCO Plus” format 

On September 1, Mehriban Aliyeva and her daughter Arzu Aliyeva participated in a cruise along Hayha River together with First Lady of the People’s Republic of China Pen Liyuan and spouses of the heads of states and governments who participated in the meeting held in the format  “Shanghai Cooperation Organization Plus” in the Chinese city of Tienchin. 

Parade in Beijing dedicated to the popular uprising against the Japanese occupation and the 80^th anniversary of the Victory in the World War 2. 

On September 3, a parade dedicated to the popular uprising against the Japanese occupation and the 80^th anniversary of the Victory in the World War 2 took place in Beijing, the capital of China.  

President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva arrived at the Tiananmen Square in Chinese capital Beijing to watch the parade.

A dinner-party in honour of the heads of delegations participating in the parade and their spouses 

On September 3, a dinner party was hosted in Beijing on behalf of Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping and First Lady Pen Liyuan in honour of the heads of delegations participating in the parade dedicated to China’s popular uprising against the Japanese occupation and the 80^th anniversary of the Victory in the World War 2, and a concert programme was presented. 

President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the event.
