On August 23, First Lady of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva and First Lady of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ziroatkhon Mirzizoyeva became familiar with Mekhrli school in Tashkent.
At the school, which has been operating under the Child Haematology, Oncology and Clinical Immunology Centre, children receiving long-term treatment at the hospital and, therefore, not being able to attend lessons at an ordinary school or a kindergarten, are educated here, in order to ensure an uninterrupted and quality education for them.
The first ladies met with children and became familiar with their handicrafts.

On August 23, First Lady of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva and her daughter Leyla Aliyeva, together with First Lady of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ziroatkhon Mirzizoyeva and her daughter Saida Mirzizoyeva, became familiar with the exhibition comprised of works by People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Akmal Nur, viewing the collection comprised of Uzbekistan’s national garments.
Works by the People’s Artist of Uzbekistan of recent years are being showcased at the exhibition called “In the Garden of Love”.
The first ladies and their daughters became familiar with the works by ornament designer Medina Kasymbayeva.
Mehriban Aliyeva was presented keepsakes symbolic of Uzbekistan’s culture.
