Visit to Türkiye

On August 9, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev went on a business visit to Türkiye, at the invitation of President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva were welcomed by minister of youth and sport of Türkiye Mehmet Kasapoğlu, governor of the city of Konya Vahdettin Özkan, and other officials. 

Meeting with sportsmen representing Azerbaijan at the 5^th Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya

On August 9, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva met with sportsmen representing Azerbaijan at the 5^th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya city.

Visit to Movlana Museum 

On August 9, First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva paid a visit to Movlana Museum in Konya city of Türkiye.

Head of the Konya City Culture and Tourism Department Abdulsattar Yarar gave information to First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva about the museum.

Then, keepsakes were presented mutually.

Inauguration of the 5^th Islamic Solidarity Games

On August 9, inauguration of the 5^th Islamic Solidarity Games took place in Konya city of Türkiye.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the ceremony.

President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a short conversation with First Дady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva.
