An event takes place at the Heydar Aliyev Centre with participation of a group of IDP

On August 26, an event took place at the Heydar Aliyev Centre with participation of a group of IDP.

First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva attended the event and celebrated her birthday together with them.

Mehriban Aliyeva delivered a speech before internally displaced people:

- Respected fellow citizens.

Dear sisters and brother.

I deeply thank you for inviting me to this event.

I am very pleased to be together with you today, on my birthday, surrounded by dear to me people.

I am confident, the dream in your heart is the sacred dream of every Azerbaijani – liberation of our lands from occupation, restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, and making the Azerbaijan’s tricolour flag wave on the Garabagh soil.

I want to deliver my deep respect, thanks and love to each of you. Today, I deliver great respect and love of Mister President. As you know, for long years, improvement of living conditions of refugees and IDP has been one of the priority issues. Much work has been done in the course of these years. Improvement of the living conditions for IDP, our dear fellow citizens, providing them with jobs, education, healthcare and other services is a duty of the state of Azerbaijan. The state of Azerbaijan has reached great achievements on this path.

Some sixty thousand fellow citizens were provided with new apartments. Last year, 5900 refugee and IDP families were provided with new apartments. Some 6 thousand new apartments will be commissioned this year. Works in “Gobu Park-2” residential complex are about to finish, whereby, living conditions of 1300 IDP families will be improved. But this is a temporary matter. Because, I want to once more underscore that our dream is different. Our sole dream is to listen to Garabagh Shikastasi on the Garabagh soil.

I am sure we will make this dream come true relying on resolute policy of the President and the state, with God’s help. Thank you very much.
