First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva is honoured with Saint Princess Olga Order of 2nd degree

Azerbaijan’s First Vice-president, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva was honoured with the Saint Princess Olga Order of 2^nd degree.

Mehriban Aliyeva has been awarded this order by Patriarch of Moscow and all Rus Kirill for the support she has provided to the Russian Orthodox Church, as well as for her numerous services towards strengthening the friendly relations between Russia and Azerbaijan.

Women with great services before church, state, and in various areas of the public life are awarded this high order.

In 2013, first monument in Russia was erected to Saint Prince Vladimir in Astrakhan, under the patronage of Mehriban Aliyeva. This year, improvement works were carried out on the territory around the monument, following Mehriban Aliyeva’s personal initiative.
