A new bridge is commissioned in Pirallahy district

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the inauguration of a new bridge in Pirallahy district of the capital.

The Head of the State and his spouse viewed a stand reflecting the works carried out on the Pirallahy bridge and the approach roads.

Waves from the sea used to wash away the motor way linking Pirallahy settlement with the shore. In order to stop this, a new up-to-date bridge, linking the Pirallahy island with the shore, was built, in accordance with the “State programme on social and economic development of the Baku city and its settlements”. The project’s execution allowed free movement of ships under the bridge. The new bridge is located at the 23rd kilometre of the Gala-Pirallahy highway. It is 442 metres long, 14 metres wide, with the width of the traffic section being 12 metres.

The approach road to the Pirallahy bridge is 1.2 km long. The road’s previous width was 7 metres. After the reconstruction, it is 25 metres. The traffic section of the four-lane road is 16 metres wide. The approach road at the exit from the Pirallahy bridge is 850 metres long. This road is 15 metres long, with the traffic section’s width being 12 metres.

At the end, a photo was taken.
