On March 16, First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva met co-chairperson of the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre, Latvia’s former President Mrs Vaira Vike-Freiberga, who is participating in the 5th Global Baku Forum.
Mehriban Aliyeva, expressing her delight in seeing co-chairperson of the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre, Latvia’s former President Mrs Vaira Vike-Freiberga again in our country, underscored the significance of the 5th Global Baku Forum on “The Future of International Relations: Power and Interests”, and said the Baku Forum has already turned into a global platform. The activity of the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre was given high appreciation, the role of the centre was emphasized in terms of promoting Azerbaijan around the world, and it was noted that our country is ready to provide its support for the broadening of the centre’s activity further.
Vaira Vike-Freiberga talked about the works carried out towards promotion of the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre on a broader platform, strengthening the centre’s activity, and increasing the number of members. It was noted that programmes of the Global Baku Forum are widened year-by-year further, and that this serves to better promotion of Azerbaijan abroad.
Latvia’s former President Vaira Vike-Freiberga congratulated Mehriban Aliyeva on her appointment as first vice-president of Azerbaijan.
