Meeting with a delegation led by Baroness Emma Nicholson

Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva met, November 28, a delegation led by Baroness Emma Nicholson, the United Kingdom Prime Minister's Trade envoy to Azerbaijan, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.

Expressing her delight in seeing the delegation led by Baroness Emma Nicholson at the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mehriban Aliyeva noted that this visit will serve to strengthening of the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries. The activity of the United Kingdom Prime Minister's Trade envoy to Azerbaijan was appreciated highly, and along with the guest’s political activity, her public works too were underscored in particular. Her works aimed at care for children, protection of women’s rights, and activities in culture and other spheres were given high appreciation. Mehriban Aliyeva expressed a hope the guest will build a cooperation between our countris, especially with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in future.

Talking about the projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Baroness Emma Nicholson put forward an offer to implement a series of projects in future together with the Foundation in the sphere of healthcare. At the same time, giving high appreciation to the activity of the Interparliamentary Friendship Group of Azerbaijan and the Great Britain, Baroness Emma Nicholson invited President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP Mehriban Aliyeva to visit Britain in order to hold meetings at the Lords Chamber.
