Mehriban Aliyeva meets Vice-president of the Colombian Senate Daira de Jesus Galvis Mendez

Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva met, September 29, Vice-president of the Colombian Senate Daira de Jesus Galvis Mendez, who is on a visit to our country to participate in the 5^th Baku International Humanitarian Forum.

It was mentioned that the Baku International Humanitarian Forum is being held for the fifth time and the number of the countries participating in this event increases. Saying that “What is most important is that outcomes of the Forum are realized”, Mehriban Aliyeva underscored that the issues that will be a focus of attention at the event are of current importance for the whole world.

It was brought to attention that Colombia is one of the ten countries to recognize the Khojaly genocide, and the people of Azerbaijan has given a very high appreciation to this move by Colombia. It was mentioned that the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Daghlyg Garabagh conflict is the gravest problem of our country.

Saying that the Colombian Senate is participating in the Forum with its 3 senators, Daira de Jesus Galvis Mendes emphasized her country attaches a great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan.
