President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attend the festivities on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Victory over fascism in Moscow

Festivities were held, May 9, in Moscow to mark the 70th anniversary of the Victory over fascism in the Great Patriotic War during 1941-19945.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the festivities.

The Head of the State and his spouse were welcomed by Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin.

Having made a speech before the parade, Vladimir Putin congratulated the attendees of the event held in connection with the 70th anniversary of the Victory.

Then a military parade took place. Military men of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan also joined the parade.

Heads of states and governments, heads of international organizations, and veterans of war watched the parade. Over 16 thousand military men, various military equipment, aircrafts and helicopters participated in the parade.

After the military parade, a wreath was put before the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Park near the Kremlin walls on behalf of heads of states and governments.

Then a photo was shot before the Kremlin.
