President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attend the inauguration of the Gobustan District Central Hospital

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the inauguration of the Gobustan District Central Hospital, May 7th.

The President and the First Lady were informed of the works done here.

It was informed that the building where the Gobustan District Central Hospital had been operating was commissioned in 1965 as the Maraza Settlement Hospital, and as of 1991, it has operated as the Gobustan District Central Hospital. Construction of the building for the District Central Hospital started in 2014, and the construction works were completed in 2018.

President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva became familiarized with the conditions created in the hospital.

It was informed that construction of the 90-bed Gobustan District Central Hospital was performed on a contemporary level, following high quality standards. Total area of the hospital is over 2.6 hectares. Along with the main building, therapy and emergency buildings, as well as buildings for the Forensic Medical Examination and the Pathological Anatomy Union’s Gobustan District Department were constructed here. State-of-the-art equipment imported from Japan, the Korean Republic, Italy and Turkey were installed in the hospital. Each of the equipment types allows performing either treatment or examination operations on the highest level, and with high precision. Surgery, therapy, emergency, birth giving and gynaecology, child diseases, policlinic, infectious diseases, beam-diagnostics (radiology), resuscitation and other departments will be functioning in the hospital. The laboratories of the hospital meet high standards. All conditions required for performing laboratory examinations with high precision and in a short timeframe exist here. At the moment, 26 physicians and 51 medical technicians are employed in the hospital.
