President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attend the inauguration of new buildings of ADA University

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the inauguration of two new buildings of ADA University, September 4.

The head of the state and the first lady became familiar with the conditions created in the campus park.

Rector of ADA University Hafiz Pashayev gave information to President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva about the conditions created in the buildings. It was noted that construction of the new buildings was performed in the course of 2016 to 2019. All possibilities were ensured in the new buildings to conduct education on the most advanced level. An assembly hall for 535, 42 classrooms, 18 group rooms, 3 laboratories, a library and a café will be placed at the disposal of teachers and students.

There are server rooms in these buildings. All education rooms are supported from the server rooms. Smart-codes were installed here in 42 rooms, and there are also other equipment and computers. Using this equipment, students will be able to study also online, i.e. some lectures will be presented in a video format, and there will also be live lessons.

In one of the newly commissioned buildings are located the State and Public Relations and Business and Economy faculties of ADA University. Some 1500 students, including 45 foreign nationals, are studying only in this building. So far, 2000 diplomats and state officials were trained at ADA University.

In another newly constructed building, college type ADA School of ADA University, which started to operate in 2019, is located. Some 500 pupils of 10^th and 11^th forms are studying at ADA School in the Azerbaijani and English languages.

With the area of over 4 hectares, the park mainly consists of a green area. 280 types of plants have been planted here. Natural ecological environment has been preserved to maximum in this recreation space, created in an original style. Lakes were also created in the park.

Rector of the university Hafiz Pashayev gave information to President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva about the future works’ plan of this education establishment.

As to perspective plans of ADA University, discussions were held over cooperation in the humanitarian and education spheres during the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s official visit to the Italian Republic during 19 to 22 June this year, and documents were signed. It was agreed that the Italia-Azerbaijan University be founded in Baku, and that ADA University be involved in the establishment of this education institution.

Directions of the new education establishment have been reflected in the concept documents, in accordance with the university’s development plan. Specialists required for the Azerbaijani economy – electrical engineering, water industry engineering, transport engineering, agriculture and food business, architecture and design, management, marketing etc. – will be trained at the new university.

Thus the education infrastructure’s modernization concept at ADA University aims at future by covering state-of-the-art trends.
