Ceremonial dinner is given in honour of the participants of the 43rd General Assembly of the European Olympic Committee

A ceremonial dinner was given at the Heydar Aliyev Center by the Organizing Committee of “Baku-2015” first European Games in honour of the participants of the 43^rd General Assembly of the European Olympic Committee, November 21.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the ceremonial dinner.

First, the guests made themselves familiar with the Heydar Aliyev Museum. They were given information about the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Museum at the Centre.

The guests also visited “Mini Azerbaijan” Exhibition Hall.

Then the ceremonial dinner in honour of the participants of the 43^rd Genaral Assembly of the European Olympic Committee started.

The ceremony started with the show of a video-presentation devoted to the first European Games to be held in Baku.

Representative of the European Olympic Committee John Tibbs thanked President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva for the high-level organization of the 43^rd General Assembly of the European Olympic Committee.

Then the ceremony of presenting “Peter Nurovski”  Award of the European Olympic Committee took place. Swimmer from Italy Simone Sabioni was declared winner of “Peter Nurovski” Award, being elected the best  athlete of Europe among 5 sportsmen.

At the end, participants were photographed, and the event continued with a concert programme.
