Mehriban Aliyeva meets US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Secuta

Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva met Ambassador of the United States to Azerbaijan Robert Secuta, October 15.

Having welcomed the guest to the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mehriban Aliyeva talked about the bilateral relations between the United States of America and the Republic of Azerbaijan. She noted that after regaining its state independence, Azerbaijan has been enjoying successful cooperation with the United States of America in a number of spheres, including the political and economic fields. Among our relations, Mehriban Aliyeva specially mentioned the cooperation in the oil and gas sector.

It was brought to attention, during the meeting, that largest projects of the region were implemented in our country.

At the meeting, which was attended also by Michaela Meredith, the mission head of the International Development Agency of the United States of America, the significance of these projects for both the region and Europe was underscored.

The father of Hajji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev was a shoe-maker. By this profession, he earned a living for his family. By the time Zeynalabdin was 10, he asked his father to find him a job.
