President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attend the opening of SABIS Sun International School Complex and a Golf Club within the framework of the project “Dream Island”

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening of SABIS Sun International school complex and a Golf Club within the framework of the project “Dream Island” by “Azersun Holding” Group of Companies, October 4.

Chairman of “Azersun Holding” Group of Companies Supervisory Board Abdulbari Gozal gave comprehensive information to the Head of the State about the works carried out on the Dream Island.

The President and the First Lady became acquainted with the conditions created at SABIS Sun International School.

It was informed that a kindergarten, the SABIS Sun International School and an administrative building were constructed at the school complex.

Then the President and the First Lady met, in the building of the Golf Club, representatives of foreign countries coming here to play golf, members of the Golf Club from around the globe, and those studying at the Golf Academy.

President Ilham Aliyev and holder of three-time Major Cup on golf Colin Montgomerie cut the ribbon symbolizing an official opening of the golf area.

Colin Montgomerie said the golf area created here met up-to-date world standards. Fully meeting the Professional Golf Association’s standards, created taking into account international practice, the golf area has 18 holes. With 65 hectares of area, the golf area allows organization of international competitions. At the Golf Academy created here, children will be taught, by professionals, to play golf since early ages, and different trainings will take place here.

Then the President and the First Lady became acquainted with the conditions created at a camp constructed within the framework of the project.

President Ilham Aliyev assigned relevant tasks and gave recommendations concerning the high-level construction works.

	Gobustan Gobustan is located near Baku city. It is over 15 thousand years old. In pictures drawn on Gobustan rocks, the life and thoughts of our ancestors are depicted.
