President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva acquainted themselves with the works to be performed in the house-museum of Uzeir Hajibeyli in Shusha city, August 29.
The head of the state and the first lady were given information about the works to be done.
The house-museum of eminent composer, founder of our professional music art and national opera Uzeir Hajibeyli has operated until the occupation of Shusha by Armenia.
Of the 1700 exhibits in the museum associated with the composer-genius, only about 100 were saved, and the remainder were destroyed by the vandalism of Armenian occupants.
It was brought to attention that plans and specifications of the works-to-be-done have been developed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
After the works in the house-museum are completed, exhibits taken to Baku in 1992 will be placed here. These are Uzeir Hajibeyli’s photos, letters, score of his works, and personal belongings.
