Statues of eminent personalities of Azerbaijan - Natavan, Bulbul and Uzeir Hajibeyli – are also visited in Shusha

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Turkish Republic Recep Tayyip Erdogan and First Lady Emine Erdogan came to the place in Shusha where statues of eminent personalities of Azerbaijan - Natavan, Bulbul and Uzeir Hajibeyli – arelocated.

It was brought to the attention of the guests that Armenians had taken the statues to Armenia during the occupation with the intention to melt them down. However, thanks to the initiative of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, they were returned to Azerbaijan and kept in the yard of the Art Museum in Baku. After the liberation of Shusha, these statues were returned to their previous places.
