President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attend the inauguration of a newly laid out forest type park in Yasamal district of Baku city

On February 1^st, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the inauguration of a newly laid out forest type park in Yasamal district of the capital.

The head of the state and the first lady became familiar with the conditions created in the park.

Total area of this park, laid out following the President’s instruction, is 4 hectares. Once this area was occupied by some people with the intention to sell it off part by part. After President Ilham Aliyev’s intervention, this process was stopped and the lands were returned to the state.

Green area in the park covers over 70 percent of the territory. All conditions have been created in the park to make sure that residents from the surrounding area rest here comfortably. Residents of the nearby apartment buildings saluted the president and the first lady from balconies.

The new park has been built to meet the town-building standards, as well as contemporary requirements. The area has been improved by a high-level infrastructure. The new park is also of importance from the perspective of improving the social and ecological condition of the city.
