President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attend the inauguration of DOST Centre No.3

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the inauguration of DOST Centre No.3 of the Sustainable and Operational Social Security Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, located in Nizami district of Baku, May 19.

Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Sahil Babayev gave information to the President and the First Lady about the possibilities provided at the Centre.

It was noted that, located at the Heydar Aliyev Avenue, DOST Centre No.3 will serve residents of the Nizami, Surakhany and Sabunchu districts of Baku. Services associated with pension, social security, social allowance, adoption, disability, labour and employment, bank, notary, as well as services of the Medical Social Expert Examination Committee will be provided to the population at the Centre. Over 130 employees and 50 volunteers on the programme “Voluntary DOST” will work here. The Centre is expected to serve 500 persons a day and, in general, over 150 thousand in the course of a year.

The President and the First Lady were informed of the achievements reached since the beginning of 2020 to date in the social sphere, support provided to employment and social welfare in connection with the pandemic, proactive services provided over electronic systems, provision of martyr’s families and disabled veterans of war with apartments and cars, daily care, community-based social rehabilitation and support centres, as well as achievements reached by the DOST Agency on regional and international levels. Handicrafts made by disabled persons in the country were demonstrated then.

After the familiarization with the newly commissioned DOST Centre, President Ilham Aliyev gave interview to the Azerbaijani Television.
