A ceremony of delivering apartments and cars to disabled veterans of the Garabagh, Great Patriotic wars, Chernobyl accident and martyrs’ families takes place

A ceremony of delivering apartments and cars to disabled veterans of the Garabagh, Great Patriotic wars, Chernobyl accident and martyrs’ families took place in Lokbatan settlement of Garadagh district, August 1.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the ceremony.

The head of the state was informed that the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population took, in general, 35 apartments from a building constructed by “ŞA İnşaatçı” Housing Cooperative. Out of these apartments, 23 are given to invalids of the Garabagh War, 12 to martyrs’ families.

President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva became familiarized with the conditions created in apartments.

High quality interior finishing works have been done in the apartments provided with permanent gas, water supply and electricity, making them completely ready to move in, having been provided with all necessary equipment, including kitchen furniture. Moreover, an individual heating system has been installed in the apartments.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev met with members of invalids and martyrs’ families.

President Ilham Aliyev presented documents for the apartments and keys to cars to their owners.

In general, 136 citizens were presented “Khazar LX” cars. 110 out of them are persons who have become disabled while defending our territorial integrity and independence, while 26 are disabled veterans of the Great Patriotic war and Chernobyl accident. “Khazar LX” cars have been manufactured by “Azermash” LTD operating in Neftchala Industrial Park. Following the principles of social responsibility, the company presented 3 more cars.
