- Respected Mehriban khanum.
First, I would like to thank You for creating conditions for the presentation of the project "Provision of soldiers and officers wounded in the April 2016 battles with high-tech artificial limbs" by MEDICOM Company.
Right after receiving Your instruction, the task force determined its main duties, having held individual meetings with each soldier and officer with participation of employees of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the relevant entities. In the framework of the project, in the first stage, we were thinking of providing our soldiers and officers with classic prostheses. However, Mehriban khanum, after Your instruction, our soldiers and officers will be provided with high-tech products of the leading companies of Germany, Island, Great Britain and USA specialized in the production of state-of-the-art artificial limbs.
Taking into consideration individual features, activity degrees in particular, the lifestyle, employment and individual requirement of each user for artificial limbs, appropriate and high-quality artificial limbs will be applied for them.
We, together with employees of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, have defined the project’s implementation stages, and we are determined to accomplish the project successfully, by performing the works required on each stage with high quality.
Esteemed Mehriban khanum, we will do our best to perform our duties on these stages in a short span of time.
Now, with Your permission, I would like to talk about the technical features of these artificial limbs and the benefits that the users would gain while using them. The first example I’m going to present to You is a popliteal harmonic P3 active artificial limb with a vacuum system, a product of Germany’s “Otto bock” Company. A popliteal harmonic P3 active artificial limb with a vacuum system creates motional consistency with the amputated part of the leg. As a result, maximum consistency is ensured between the leg and the prosthetic limb.
The patellar prosthetic limb has two sensors with high sensibility within the knee-joint. While in motion, motional signals coming from the ground are conveyed to the control system through these sensors, whereby, adaptation to changing grounds is ensured.
BeBionic hand prosthesis has two sensible electrodes. Motional signals received from the brain are conveyed to the microprocessor control system through these electrodes, which practically allows the user’s manual motions.
Application of these artificial limbs will allow our soldiers and officers to lead and active lifestyle.
At the end, a photo was taken.
