Visit to the Czech Republic

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva were on a visit to the Czech Republic on April 5, 2012.

Within the official visit of President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev to the Czech Republic, a special visit program was prepared for First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.

An official greeting ceremony was organized for President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev, who was on an official visit to the Czech Republic, at the Prague Fortress, April 5.

President of the Czech Republic Vaclav Klaus and Mrs. Livia Klausova greeted President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva.

State and government officials of the Czech Republic were introduced to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and members of the delegation from Azerbaijan were introduced to President of the Czech Republic Vaclav Klaus.

Then state presents were given.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva signed in the Honoured Guests’ Book of the Prague Fortress.

After the official greeting ceremony, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva had a joint meeting with President of the Czech Republic Vaclav Klaus and Mrs. Livia Klausova.

First Lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva met with First Lady of the Czech Republic Livia Klausova, April 5.

Then they took a walk through the Prague Fortress. Mehriban Aliyeva watched a preying ceremony in the Church at the fortress and listened to harp music.

A dinner was given on April 5 in honour of President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev and Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva by Chairman of the Czech Republic  Parliament’s Senate Milan Shtekh and his spouse Ivana Stekhova.
