Panel discussion is held on the topic "Climate and Energy Security: Is the Heat Still on?" in the framework of the Munich Security Conference

On February 13, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the panel-discussion held on the topic ”Climate and Energy Security: Is the Heat Still on?” within the framework of the Munich Security Conference. 

First Lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva and her daughter Leyla Aliyeva too attended the event. 

Moderator of the panel-discussion Melinda Crane said the event’s topic was dedicated to the climate and energy security in the world. Then she announced that Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev and a number of other influential guests attended the event.   

Head of our State Ilham Aliyev addressed the event and answered questions.

Deputy chairperson of the European Commission for energy unity Marosh Shefchovich, member of the US Senate’s Environment and Public Affairs Committee Sheldon Whitehouse, chief executive director of “Allianze SE”, member of the Munich Security Conference’s Advisory Board Oliver Bate and former executive director of “Green Peace International” Kumi Naidoo shared their opinions on the energy security at the panel discussion.

Then discussions were held.
