Our wrestlers win more gold medals at the First European Games

On June 17, free-style wrestling competitions took place at the Heydar Aliyev Sports Palace within the framework of the 1^st European Games. President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady, Chairperson of Baku-2015 1^st European Games Organizing Committee Mehriban Aliyeva and family members watched the finals of the competitions.

First, Azerbaijani wrestler Toghrul Asgarov became a champion of the 1^st European Games, having gained a victory over all his rivals. By this victory of Olympic champion Toghrul Asgarov, the number of gold medals won by Azerbaijan at the 1^st European Games rose to 9.

Then Azerbaijani wrestler, double bronze medallist of the Olympic Games, world and European champion Khetag Gasymov won the gold medal in the 97-kg weight category. By this victory, the number of gold medals of Azerbaijan became 10.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev presented medals to the sportsmen-winners.

	Gobustan Gobustan is located near Baku city. It is over 15 thousand years old. In pictures drawn on Gobustan rocks, the life and thoughts of our ancestors are depicted.
