President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attend the inauguration of the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation’s administrative building

Inauguration of a new administrative building of the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation took place in Baku, June 5. 

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady, Chairperson of the First European Games Organizing Committee Mehriban Aliyeva attended the ceremony.

Built in modern architectural style and based on the latest technology, the building covers an area of 25 thousand square metres. A boxing centre will function in the building. Fully complying with the requirements of international federations, this complex has also a sports hall with all necessary conditions for trainings and competitions.

President Ilham Aliyev and Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva viewed the Federation’s museum, and saw the main boxing hall where competitions will be held. 

Then the Head of the State and his spouse met with officials of the Federation and boxers that will represent Azerbaijan in the European Games, and watched trainings of juvenile and young boxers in the training hall.
