First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva meets Trade Envoy of the Great Britain’s Prime Minister for Azerbaijan Emma Nicholson

First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva met, October 31, Trade Envoy of the Great Britain’s Prime Minister for Azerbaijan Baroness Emma Nicholson.

A wide spectrum of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Great Britain, both in the traditional energy sector and the in non-oil sector, were discussed at the meeting. Over 25-year fruitful cooperation between Azerbaijan and BP was underscored, emphasizing that new possibilities are ahead for the Great Britain’s companies in the non-oil sector in Azerbaijan at the moment.

First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva highly appreciated the role played by Trade Envoy of the Great Britain’s Prime Minister for Azerbaijan Baroness Emma Nicholson in the advancement of the relations between the two countries in various spheres, especially in the humanitarian.

Baroness Emma Nicholson, underscoring the successful cooperation built between Azerbaijan and the Great Britain, said she would continue her endeavours to contribute to the advancement of the relations further. She said that BP, one of the leading oil companies of the world, was interested in having cooperation in the humanitarian spheres, as well as in education, healthcare, and protection of the environment.

The Trade Envoy of the Great Britain’s Prime Minister for Azerbaijan emphasized that First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva has had a special role in the development of Azerbaijan.
