President Ilham Aliyev and family members attend a ceremony dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the National Olympic Committee

A solemn ceremony took place, September 29, at the Heydar Aliyev Center, on the occasion of the 25^th anniversary of establishing the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Azerbaijan. 

Head of the State of Azerbaijan, President of the National Olympic Committee Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and family members attended the ceremony. 

Participants of the anniversary ceremony warmly greeted President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.

The Head of the State addressed the ceremony. 

Then Executive Director of the European Olympic Committees Janez Kocijančič took the floor. 

Janez Kocijančič presented special awards of the European Olympic Committees to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-president of the National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzadeh on the occasion of the 25^th anniversary of establishing NOC. 

Thereafter, President of the International Judo Federation Marius Vizer spoke. 

Marius Vizer presented the highest award of the International Judo Federation – a gold medal – to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. 

The Head of the State thanked Janez Kocijančič and Marius Vizer for the high awards. 

The ceremony continued with a concert programme.
